Ngài bậc xuất trần thượng sĩ
Vị Cao Tăng Thạc Đức của Phật Giáo Việt Nam,
Bao từ bi trước ma chướng hung tàn
Đem trí tuệ diệt sân, si, tham, chấp
Ngài đơn độc dù thời gian phủ lấp
Đem tình thương chuyển hóa vô minh
Đem Kinh Luật Luận gieo rắc cho chúng sinh
Mang chí lớn của bậc xuất trần thượng sĩ
Bồ Tát Hạnh, Ngài ung dung Thoát Vòng Tục Lụy
Đem Đại thừa tư tưởng dấn thân.
Cho quê hương, dân tộc và đạo pháp nhiệm mầu
Sư tử hống vang xa uy dũng
Ngài dõng dạc đòi quyền tự do sinh hoạt
của Giáo Hội Phật Giáo Việt Nam Thống Nhất
Nay nhục thân đã trở về lòng đất
Đại Bi Tâm vẫn lưu lại ngàn đời!
Thầy đi cánh hạc ngang trời
Thong dong tự tại qua đồi tử sinh.
Nhất Tâm đảnh lễ kính tiễn Giác linh Đại Lão Hòa Thượng
trước Quảng sau Độ thùy từ chứng giám.

In Honoring the Most Venerable Thich Quang Do
The Most Venerable Thich Quang Do is the amongst the supreme leaders
Of the most venerable monks in Vietnamese Buddhism in modern times.
He chooses compassion over the vicious evil world
Bringing wisdom to transform hatred, greed, ignorance, and attachment
He is often alone in spite of the time
Bringing love and transformation over ignorance and the communist government
Bringing the teachings of the Buddha to sow all over places and beings
He makes the vows and commitments of a Bodhisattva
In the name of Bodhisattva, he has leisurely escaped the Circle of Depression
He also brings Mahayana thoughts into everyday life.
For the homeland, the nation, and the miraculous Dharma
He is sometimes, as a Lion roars gallantly
He explicitly claimed and fought for the right to freedom of life
of the Unified Buddhist Church of Vietnam and the human right in Vietnam.
Now the body has returned to the ground
His great mind and heart still linger over thousands of lives!
Thầy left as a crane peacefully flying across the sky
Leisurely over the hills of life and death.
