Katie KieuDung Nguyen (Business Consultant):
Katie KieuDung Nguyen has worked at the Orange County Small Business Development Center as a business consultant since 2000. During this time, she has focused her efforts on the Vietnamese-American business community operating the Orange County SBDC Small Business Assistance Center in the Little Saigon area in partnership with Wells Fargo, Nguoi Viet Daily News, and VNCR Radio. She has personally provided technical, management, and financial assistance to over one thousand Vietnamese-American business owners and entrepreneurs.
Katie’s areas of expertise include business planning, business financing (loans), marketing and sales, and business start-ups. For clients looking to expand or acquire a business, she provides comprehensive technical assistance which helps them maneuver through the permitting process, site selection, and lease negotiation.
Prior to joining the Orange County SBDC, Katie served as an economic development program manager for the VNCOC. In this capacity, she was instrumental in launching the Small Business Services of VNCOC (Little Saigon Economic Development Program. She served as program manager and provided technical assistance to small businesses throughout Little Saigon area. There she helped local business owners link with community resources designed to support their success. She also hosted a one-hour weekly radio talk show on small business matters.
Katie holds a B.A. in Business Administration with a minor in Biochemistry from California State University Fullerton.
