Sen Trắng Hoa Kỳ 
Kính gửi quý anh chị em Gia Đình Phật Tử Việt Nam Hải Ngoại cùng tất cả những tấm lòng đang hướng về sự an lành của nhân loại trên hành tinh này,
Giữa vòng xoay vô thường của vũ trụ, chúng ta không ngừng chứng kiến những biến động lớn lao làm lay chuyển không những con người mà cả đất trời. Mới đây, hai thảm họa thiên tai – trận động đất kinh hoàng ở Tây Tạng và những trận cháy dữ dội thiêu rụi nhiều khu vực tại miền Nam California – đã nhắc nhở chúng ta rằng thế giới này, dù bao la đến đâu, vẫn là một cơ thể sống kết nối bởi vô vàn sợi dây tương duyên.
Tây Tạng, vùng đất được xem là mái nhà của Phật giáo, đã chìm trong đau thương khi lòng đất rung chuyển. Hàng trăm sinh mạng bị mang đi trong khoảnh khắc, những ngôi làng từng là nơi chở che cho biết bao thế hệ giờ chỉ còn là những đống đổ nát. Từ đó, ánh mắt của những người sống sót đầy ắp nỗi ám ảnh và sự trống rỗng. Và ở bên này địa cầu, miền Nam California cũng oằn mình trong khói lửa, do tác động của gió lớn. Những mảnh đất từng là nơi trú ngụ của hàng triệu sinh linh đã bị thiêu rụi, mang theo cả mái ấm của không ít gia đình và màu xanh quý giá của hành tinh.
Trên dòng chảy đau thương, lòng từ bi là ánh sáng duy nhất dẫn lối. Chúng ta, những đoàn viên Gia Đình Phật Tử Việt Nam Hải Ngoại, hiểu rằng mỗi giọt nước mắt của tha nhân là hồi chuông thức tỉnh. Sự mất mát của chúng sinh không bao giờ chỉ là nỗi đau riêng mà là bài học vô giá cho tất cả chúng ta về mối quan hệ gắn bó mật thiết giữa con người với con người, và với thiên nhiên.
Bồ Tát Đạo mà chúng ta nguyện dấn thân phụng sự không giới hạn trong thời gian hay không gian. Tinh thần đó kêu gọi hành động vì lợi ích của muôn loài, không phân biệt xa gần hay khác biệt văn hóa. Giữa những biến động của thế giới hiện đại, sự quan tâm đến các hệ sinh thái không còn là điều xa vời mà là trách nhiệm cấp thiết. Mỗi ngọn núi, dòng sông, mỗi tấc rừng, mỗi bầu trời chúng ta hít thở đều là biểu hiện của Pháp thân.
Nhưng, kính thưa quý anh chị em, lòng từ bi không dừng lại ở sự cầu nguyện. Nếu chỉ dừng ở những lời nguyện cầu thì hạt giống Bồ Đề sẽ mãi nằm yên trong đất, không bao giờ vươn lên thành cây đại thụ. Chúng ta cần những hành động thiết thực hơn để sẻ chia nỗi mất mát của đồng loại, cũng như để bảo vệ mái nhà chung này.
Trước mắt, mỗi Gia Đình, mỗi đoàn viên hãy cùng nhau góp sức bằng những hoạt động từ thiện cụ thể. Có thể đó là sự hỗ trợ tài chính, lương thực, hay những vật phẩm cần thiết gửi đến các nạn nhân thiên tai thông qua các cơ quan cứu trợ. Có thể đó là các buổi lễ cầu siêu, cầu an, hay những buổi chia sẻ giáo pháp để khơi dậy niềm hy vọng giữa khổ đau. Nhưng trên tất cả, hãy gieo mầm ý thức bảo vệ môi trường vào tâm thức mỗi người, mọi lúc mọi nơi.
Trong từng bước chân chúng ta đi trên con đường phụng sự, hãy luôn nhớ rằng chúng ta không phải chỉ hoàn thiện bản thân mà còn đang xây dựng một thế giới nơi sự tương kính và hài hòa với thiên nhiên là giá trị cốt lõi.
Chúng tôi xin kêu gọi tất cả anh chị em Gia Đình Phật Tử Việt Nam Hải Ngoại hãy tiếp tục chung tay trong các phong trào thiện nguyện và trong việc lan tỏa tinh thần trách nhiệm với môi trường. Những hành động nhỏ như trồng một cây xanh, giảm thiểu rác thải, hay giáo dục thế hệ trẻ về ý nghĩa của thiên nhiên đều là những bước đi ý nghĩa trên con đường Bồ Tát Hành, trong các hoạt động giáo dục của tổ chức.
Trong giờ phút này, khi trái đất vẫn rên xiết dưới sức nặng của khổ đau, ánh sáng của lòng trắc ẩn chính là ngọn đèn dẫn lối. Mỗi hành động của chúng ta, dù nhỏ bé, đều có thể trở thành một mắt xích quan trọng trong chuỗi nhân duyên làm thay đổi thế giới.
Xin hãy để tấm lòng áo lam lan tỏa, như dòng nước mát lành tưới tẩm mọi nơi còn khô cằn. Chúng ta đang thực hành lời Phật dạy, góp phần đưa nhân loại đến gần hơn với sự hài hòa và giải thoát.
Kính chúc quý anh chị em luôn an lành trong chánh niệm, để cùng nhau thắp sáng lý tưởng và vững bước trên con đường Bồ Tát Đạo.

From the Ashes, Overflowing with Humanity…
To our dear brothers and sisters of the Vietnamese Buddhist Youth Association Overseas, and to all compassionate hearts turning toward the peace of humanity on this planet,
Amid the ever-turning cycle of impermanence in this universe, we continue to witness profound upheavals that shake not only humanity but also the earth itself. Recently, two catastrophic disasters—the devastating earthquake in Tibet and the fierce wildfires ravaging vast areas in Southern California—have reminded us that this world, no matter how vast, is a living body interconnected by countless strands of mutual dependence.
Tibet, a land regarded as the cradle of Buddhism, has sunk into sorrow as the earth trembled violently. Thousands of lives were swept away in an instant, and villages that once provided shelter for countless generations have been reduced to heaps of rubble. In the haunting eyes of the survivors lies an overwhelming sense of loss and emptiness. On the other side of the globe, Southern California has been engulfed in smoke and flames, driven by strong winds. Lands that were once home to millions of beings have been scorched, taking with them the dwellings of many families and the precious green lungs of the planet.
Amid this stream of suffering, compassion is the sole light that guides the way. We, the members of the Vietnamese Buddhist Youth Association Overseas, understand that every tear shed by our fellow beings is a bell tolling for awakening. The suffering of sentient beings is never an isolated pain but a priceless lesson for all of us about the profound interconnection between humans, among themselves, and with nature.
The Bodhisattva Path that we vow to follow is not confined by time or space. This spirit calls for action for the benefit of all beings, transcending distances and cultural differences. Amid the modern world’s upheavals, care for ecosystems is no longer a distant concern but an urgent responsibility. Every mountain, river, forest, or piece of sky we breathe is a manifestation of the Dharmakaya. To destroy nature is to destroy ourselves.
However, dear brothers and sisters, compassion cannot end with prayer. If it remains only in words of prayer, the seed of Bodhi will forever lie dormant in the soil, never growing into a great tree. We must take concrete actions to share the pain of our fellow beings and protect this shared home.
For now, as we await official guidance from the Church and the Leadership Board, we earnestly call upon everyone to contribute within their own means and circumstances. This can be a simple prayer, a small donation, or simply sharing information to inspire solidarity within the community. Every action, no matter how small, is an expression of compassion.
In the meantime, each Family and member is encouraged to join efforts in specific charitable activities. This might include financial assistance, food supplies, or essential items sent to disaster victims through relief organizations. It could also take the form of memorial services, prayers for peace, or sharing the Dharma to rekindle hope amid suffering. Above all, let us sow seeds of environmental awareness in the minds of everyone, at all times.
As we tread the path of service, let us remember that we are not only perfecting ourselves but also building a world where mutual respect and harmony with nature are core values.
We call on all brothers and sisters of the Vietnamese Buddhist Youth Association Overseas to continue contributing to charitable initiatives and spreading the spirit of environmental responsibility. Small actions such as planting a tree, reducing waste, or educating the younger generation about the significance of nature are meaningful steps on the Bodhisattva Path, embedded within the educational activities of our organization.
At this moment, as the earth groans under the weight of suffering, the light of compassion is the lamp that guides us. Each of our actions, no matter how small, can become a vital link in the chain of causes and conditions that transform the world.
Let the compassionate heart of the “blue uniform” spread like refreshing streams, nourishing every arid place. We are practicing the Buddha’s teachings, contributing to bringing humanity closer to true harmony and liberation.
Wishing all brothers and sisters peace in mindfulness, so together we can illuminate ideals and walk firmly on the Bodhisattva Path.
